  First time visit for us and being Easter sunday, thought we'd be waiting a bit. But to our surprise the meals came out in great time. We both ordered medium rare and they were cooked perfectly. The staff that served us went above and beyond to check the sauces etc were gluten free whilst the chef even made up a vinegarette for my husband's salad. Overall couldn't be happier. Such friendly welcoming staff and a chef that knows how to cook steak! Thanks heaps - will definitely be returning. A tip for those that don't have children: get a table indoors as the kids playground got quite rowdy.

  This place is nicely accessible for the disabled and able bodied alike. The service was wonderful, they were quite happy to help our party of 13 get seated, including a few in wheelchairs. The food is mid range in price but extremely tasty. I've had hotdogs all over the world, and I can say without question the one served at Hope Island Tavern was the best. I can't wait to go back.

  Went for a meal last night - very disappointed, food was OK but the service left a lot to be desired, left waiting but no one came near us, ordered a wine etc lucky I did not want another. Will be the first and last time.
